Happy halloween

Thought I would make a haunted house for the front door this Halloween. Got a cereal box, drew a design and cut it out.
To make the sides I cut a long strip about 5 cm wide and cello taped it to the front. To make the corners a bit sharper I scored it a bit, not al the way through, and then folded.

I am a big fan of quick crafts and this one did not take too long.

I covered it with tissue paper and added some black card for roof and around windows and door. Also a giant bat on the roof. Also te windows are cut out to be able to put some lights in the house to make it even moore spooky. I was going to but the battery operated fairy light did not work. Have got millions of fairy lights at home but half of them does not seem to work. Think I might have to buy some more now that the darker season is uppn us.

Hamging by a thread

Is'nt this the prettiest thing you have seen. Fills me with joy to look at it. Not a bad thing either that my husband bought it for me.

Buttons

I have seen a lot of button craft around but never tried it myself. So when I had an afternoon to spare I gave it a go.
Nd what a nice afternoon it was. I am very partial to quick crafts and not much tidying and this is it! Very quick and endless possibilities. Bough a big pack of buttons from brilliant Swedish craft supplier craft & creativity so I have got many hours of button  craft to look forward to.

Painting china

Today we have been doing some scary painting and some fun painting. Since I bought a box of fabric and porcelain paint (I bought mine from pebeo but I am sure there are other brands out there) we cant really stop painting!

You can either buy fancy, and if you ask me, expensive money boxes or........

you can buy cheap china at your local supermarket. We bought these plates and bowls for £2 each and they turned out fantastic!

The only problem now is that the china drawer is getting really full. Lucky Christmas is not that far off....

This sunny plate would definetly brighten up your toast on a gloomy January morning.

Better go off and do some drawer reshuffling to fit the new ones in.

The chairs new clothes

A  poor chair saved from a skip is about to get a new dress! As always it takes longer more, time and effort than I could imagine. But as I stand back, arms folded, admiring (sometimes questioning) my efforts it is always worth it.

Unfortunately I haven't got any during-the-process pictures. Got a bit carried away as it was a bit late in the evening and I was kind of eager to finish them (yes there are more, I made 3 in total).
The fabric was stapled on at the back and removinf them was the most time consuming of it all. But stapling the new fabric (yes it is from IKEA, as most of my fabric stash, their green hippo fabric is one of my all time favourites)proved to be a lot more fun and much quicker.
Well, this is the finished result, tada!
Really happy with the result and will definetly look out for more chairs like this with a worn office look and watch them transform into beautiful swans.

Pizza

Princess M had friends over so we decided on pizza for dinner. And I guess you did know that pizza tastes even better if you make them into persons. But I would probably stop there and don't give them a name since you are going to gobble them up.

At last

I can not believe that is has taken me so long to decorate this brilliant IKEA storage mini chest.
All it took was some free patterned papers in a mag. Persuaded to take action by colour again.
